Do you want to change the lives of Orange County’s homeless women and children forever?

Be a Mentor: Our residents need positive mentors as they face childbirth and mothering. They also need mentors to help them with job skills and self-confidence.

Baby-Sitting: We have classes Monday-Thursday each week and we always need babysitters for about 1.5hrs so the girls can give their full attention to learning.

Emergency Drivers and Emergency Babysitters: We need drivers to help us get the girls to Dr. appointments, WIC and Medi-Cal appointments, classes and emergency illness or early labor in the night. Drivers are especially key when there are bus strikes!

Church Liaisons: While many of the local churches know who we are and what we do, sometimes they are not always aware of our pressing needs. We get lots of fun donations such as baby clothes and toys (which we love!!!). But sometimes our most pressing need is toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. Or sometimes it's cutting down an overgrown, unsafe tree. Having church liaisons to help communicate our needs to the congregations would be so helpful in getting those "just-in-time" helps from the wonderful people who want to help but don't know how.

Adopt a Garden: We have two homes where our residents live and we love their large yards where the children can play. But these yards also take work! Both of our homes have shrubs and flower beds that need maintenance throughout the year. If you have a green thumb and would like to create something beautiful, adopt one of our flower gardens!

Join our Auxiliary: Do you have a heart for homeless women and children in Orange County? Do you want to combine your passion and desire to help? Then join this dynamic group of community leaders who know how to really make a difference in the lives of people. Toby’s House Auxiliary meets periodically throughout the year, staying up-to-date on the current needs and issues surrounding the struggles our clients experience. The main focus of the Auxiliary is to plan and coordinate Toby’s House largest fundraiser, the Spring Event. We need your help. Contact Jennifer Irving at jennifer@birthchoiceclinic.org or (949) 273-6217.

Because we care for children, we run a background check and have a TB clearance on all of the volunteers who wish to work one-on-one with our residents.

Please contact us at (949) 661-4408 or casemanager@tobyshouse.org for more information about becoming a volunteer.
